Expanding Perspectives

Following on from the “Imperfections Alignées” series, Milena Quattrocchi continues her exploration of balance by adding a new dimension to her artistic language. With “Expanding Perspectives”, she proposes a reflection on our points of view, our perceptions and what nourishes our everyday gaze.

Through volume compositions, she plays with the perception of space and movement, inviting the viewer to observe from a new angle. The repetition of line and the relationship with imperfection are also present. Her line, always free and assertive, carries an intimate dimension: her autoimmune disease generates tremors. This accepted reality unfolds in her compositions. Minimalism, usually intransigent with irregularity, opens up here to the singularity of gesture. Its line is not constructed imperfectly, but simply as it is drawn. “Expanding Perspectives” extends his language beyond paper. Line becomes volume, extending into space and interacting with light. Through compositions on paper and three-dimensional objects, Milena explores how our perceptions evolve in the face of changing materials and perspectives. The experience becomes physical, immersive.

Faithful to its values – contrast, balance, tension and harmony – this project opens up new possibilities through the exploration of new media, and is part of an ecological awareness in which the choice of materials is an integral part of the artistic process.
