Aziz Hazara (lives and works between Kabul and Berlin) works with photography, video, sound, programming languages, texts and multimedia installations. He explores identity questions, memory, archives, conflicts, control and migration in the context of power relationships, geopolitics and panoptic.
His artworks have been presented worlwide including Foundation Tàpies in Barcelona ; 22e Biennale of Sydney ; IKOB Museum of contemporary art, Eupen, Belgium ; Kunsthal Aarhus, Aarhus, Danemark ; Museum of civilisations of Europe and Mediterranée (MuCEM) Marseille (2019) ; Biennale of Busan and ACC Asia Cultural Center, Kwangju, South Korea. He is the winner of Future Generation Art Prize 2021.
