Another Perspective on Afghanistan: An Ode to Humanity

In contrast to the static images often portrayed by the media and political discourse, this collective exhibition offers an immersion into an intimate, warm, and deeply human Afghanistan. Here, faces tell stories of heritage and resilience.

Through the photography of Oriane Zerah, the objects and stories presented serve as bridges between cultures. The exhibition highlights the importance of flowers in Afghan culture and the fragility of a population that has endured imposed wars.

In the videos by Taran N. Khan and Tarana Husain Khan, shared knowledge around a traditional dish evokes the warmth of a family cooking. These are scenes of everyday life, moments of grace, and gestures of solidarity within fragile communities. The exhibition is intended as a moment of beauty and kindness — a pause in time where curiosity, attentiveness, and encounters become acts of resistance against indifference. It invites us to see differently, feel more deeply, and honor the Other in all their richness

Vernissage on Saturday, July 5th from 11 a.m
